I am constantly on the lookout for fun items to blog about – and to use in my home. Lunches are one of those things I have a bit of a struggle with. We use the reusable lunch box. I use some Tupperware and I am really trying to get away from baggies. It is a transition. I am happy to see Eco Friendly bags making a bigger statement in grocery stores and on-line. This fun site offers not only Eco Friendly lunch boxes but also variety of ideas for making lunch different – and healthy. I am going to buy these for my kids. They come in a set of 4 for $13.95 and the cooler bags are an additional cost. You might be able to find lunch sacks or boxes at the store that will fit them as well. Remember — reduce reuse and recycle! Check out easylunchboxes.com. Make sure you check out all the ideas for fabulous lunches too. Mmmmm! Makes me a little hungry just looking at the suggestions.

I am constantly thinking of ways to simplify – make things easier and neater. Last week I decided to invest in some big baskets. Thank you Target! I used my nifty label maker and got to work. All of my baking goods are now in baskets and I will tell you this, baking is so much easier. I just pull out a whole basket and stick it on the counter. Then I can grab from it and not run back and forth looking for what I need. Plus I bought one for Tupperware and if any of us knows one thing, it is how Tupperware can quickly become like lost socks. Totally overwhelming and a bit annoying. By housing it in a big basket, it just feels neater. Even if there are still missing lids, bottoms, etc. I also made sure to put all of my plastic wrap, tin foil, wax paper and baggies in their own basket. I am so happy with how this came out. Next up — the food pantry. Stay tuned for more details and photos. Oh how I love to organize my home.
